Dana Ruiz Math Tutoring: Intro Packet & Booking Copy

How to use this: Part 1 is copy for your booking page or website. Part 2 is a welcome packet to send parents after the intro call. Part 3 has short blurbs and message templates. Replace anything in [brackets] and review every [Assumed: ...] and [Suggested default] item before you publish.

Part 1: Booking Page Copy

1. Headline options

  1. One-on-one online math tutoring for grades 6–11
  2. Calm, patient math help for students who've lost confidence
  3. Rebuild math confidence, then build real skills

2. Subheadline

Weekly 1:1 Zoom sessions in pre-algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and SAT math, with a former middle school math teacher. Parents get a short progress note after every session.

3. Who this is for

  • Students in grades 6–11 who need steady support in pre-algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, or geometry
  • Students who have started to believe they're "just bad at math"
  • High schoolers preparing for the math section of the SAT
  • Families who want a consistent weekly slot, including evenings or Saturdays
  • Parents who want to know what's happening in each session without sitting in on it
  • Students who are comfortable learning online over Zoom

Probably not the best fit if: you're looking for in-person or group tutoring, or help with subjects outside pre-algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and SAT math.

4. What you get

  • A free 15-minute intro call with Dana (for parents) before anything is booked
  • 60-minute, one-on-one sessions with your child on Zoom
  • A shared digital whiteboard so Dana and your child can work through problems together
  • A confidence-first approach that meets your child where they are
  • A short progress note sent to you after every session
  • A weekly recurring time slot, with evening and Saturday options
  • Replies to parent messages within one business day

5. How it works

  1. Book a free intro call. You (the parent or guardian) and Dana talk for 15 minutes about your child, their class, and what's been hard.
  2. Choose a session option and a weekly slot. Pick a single session or a 4- or 8-session pack, then book a recurring weekly time through Calendly.
  3. Start weekly sessions. Your child meets Dana one-on-one on Zoom. The first session focuses on getting to know how they think about math and where to begin.
  4. Stay in the loop. After each session, you get a short progress note covering what was worked on and what's coming next.

6. Pricing

Option Price Per session What's included
Free intro call $0 — 15-minute call with the parent or guardian to talk through goals and fit
Single session $65 $65 One 60-minute 1:1 Zoom session, digital whiteboard, progress note to parent

7. About Dana Ruiz

Dana Ruiz taught 7th and 8th grade math at a public school for 8 years before she started tutoring full time in 2021. Today she works one-on-one with students in grades 6–11 on pre-algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and SAT math. Many of her students arrive convinced they're "just bad at math." Dana starts there. She rebuilds confidence first, then works on skills one step at a time. Sessions happen on Zoom with a shared digital whiteboard, so Dana and your child can work through problems together. After every session, parents get a short progress note, so you always know what was covered and what's next.

One-line version: Former middle school math teacher offering calm, confidence-first 1:1 online tutoring for grades 6–11.
